Life can be very unpredictable. We expect something, and then it will turn the other way. Many of us do not like the feeling of the unknown. We want to know what will happen so that we can prepare ourselves, but our world is filled with the unexpected. The Emergency responders, such as the police, EMTs, or the Fire Department, are continually dealing with accidents that are not expected. During the past winter storms, Many people never expected that the Texas power grid would be overwhelmed. They had to rotate the power to try to accommodate everyone in below 10 degrees Fahrenheit weather. As a result, many people ended up not having power and water for a couple of days.
Although this world is very unpredictable, God is always consistent. The Bible says, "He is the same yesterday, today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8). Our heavenly Father never changes. His love towards us is the same always. No matter what we have done. He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sin (1 John 1:9). There is not a moment that He is not with us. He is always as near as a prayer. The moment we pray from our hearts, He listens and answers our prayers instantly. However, His answers are always according to His wonderful plan in our lives. So, His answers can be yes, no, or wait. But regardless of how He answers our prayers, it is always for our own good because He knows what is best for us.
No matter what is going on in our lives today, know for certain that we are not alone. Our heavenly Father is always with us, and our Lord Jesus is interceding for us (Romans 8:34). Our current situation does not dictate our future, but God dictates it because our lives are in His hands. He is going to take care of us and provide everything that we need. Let us completely trust our heavenly Father and not our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Ask yourself these questions: Who can I trust in this unpredictable world? Do I believe that God is always with me? What should I do when facing an unexpected situation?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in heaven, thank you that you are always with me in this unpredictable world. No matter what happens, I am always secure in you. Please help me to trust in you in every situation that I am in. Please continue to provide for my needs and give me the wisdom to handle what I am facing today. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
