Many people worldwide anticipate opening their gifts on the morning of Christmas day. Kids will be enjoying their new toys, and the adults will be enjoying their new gadgets. However, God has given us the greatest gift of all our eternal life through our Lord Jesus. Roman 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Our Lord Jesus came to deliver us the gift of eternal life through His life, for there is no eternal life without the forgiveness of sin. So for all of us who already genuinely believed in our Lord Jesus Christ, we have received the greatest gift of all, an eternal gift that is based on God's sacrificial love for us.
We need to remind ourselves that we are the object of God's love this Christmas season. We have Christmas to celebrate because of God's love toward us. God showed us how much He loves us. It is beautiful to receive gifts from our loved ones, but there is a much greater gift that we have received from our Heavenly Father. When loneliness sits in our hearts this Christmas season, we need to remember that our Heavenly Father loves us, and we are not alone.
We have hope and eternal life because of the beautiful gift that our Heavenly Father has given us. Our Lord Jesus made it possible to give us the gift of eternal life through His death and resurrection. As a result, we do not need to worry about tomorrow, for if our Lord Jesus took care of our eternal life, He would definitely take care of our future on this earth. So let us enjoy and celebrate God's love towards us this Christmas season. Let His peace and presence overwhelm our hearts this Christmas.
Ask yourself these questions: What is the greatest gift of all time? What gift did I receive from God when I believed in the Lord Jesus Christ? How should I celebrate Christmas knowing that God loves me?
Write down all the worries you face Today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for the beautiful gift you have given me. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for sacrificing your life for me to receive my eternal gift, which is my eternal life. Thank you for sacrificially loving me. May I worship you and express my gratitude towards you on this Christmas. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
