When we go through challenging situations in our lives or have doubts about our future, we need to remind ourselves who our God is. Our God is the creator of everything. He created the light at the beginning of creation by His word. God said, "Let there be light," and there was light (Genesis 1:3). When He created us, He formed our human bodies from the dust of the ground and breath into our nostrils, the breath of life, and we became living beings (Genesis 2:7). When we lost our ways because of our sin and were separated from Him, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sin so that we can be forgiven and receive eternal life. God did not only created us, but He saved us from our sin. If God created us and knew every intricate part of our bodies and saved us with His own life, why do we live in fear and worry?
When Jesus arrived at the tomb where they buried Lazarus, He commanded them to remove the tomb's stone. Martha immediately interjected and said, "Lord, by this time there will be stench, for he has been dead for four days." (John 11:39). Then Jesus replied, "Did I not say to you, if you believe, you will see the glory of God?" (John 11:40). When they removed the tomb's stone, Jesus prayed to the Heavenly Father and called out Lazarus with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth," and immediately Lazarus came out of the tomb with the burial wraps around him. They unwrapped Lazarus and let him go. He became alive again. (John 11:39-46).
When we begin to have anxiety, fear, or worry about our current situations and future, we need to take a deep breath and remind ourselves that there is nothing impossible to our loving God. God will work out everything in our lives. We only need to believe in Him. We need to let go of the control of our lives and let Him control our lives. We need to surrender all our circumstances to God and trust Him.
Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that there is nothing impossible to God? If there is nothing impossible to my God, what should I do when I face challenging situations? Am I willing to let go of the control and let Him control my problems?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for reminding me today that there is nothing impossible in you. Thank you for creating and saving me. Please help me to trust in you in every circumstance in my life. Would you please help me let go of my control and let you control my life, for you know and can do anything? In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
