NEW YEAR RESOLUTION - PRAYER

Welcome to the year 2022! Since 2019, we have been going through the Covid-19 pandemic, and it seems like it will continue on to this new year. The political climate seems to get worse. We may face new tax increases and inflations, and the prices will go up. However, regardless of what is going on around us, as believers, we will overcome any obstacles because our God is greater than any problems that we will face in this new year. Let us take the courage of faith that God already knows everything that will happen in this new year, for He holds the future. Revelation 22:13 says, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." God is the beginning of time. Since He created everything at the beginning of time, He already knows the end of everything.

Regardless of what will happen this year, we have our God who loves and cares about us, and He is always a prayer away. So in this new year, let us make prayer our priority in our new year resolution. James 5:16 says, "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." Our prayer is powerful and effective because we are righteous before God. We are righteous before God, not because of our good works, but because of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. When we genuinely believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God put His righteousness in us so that we can have His righteousness and be accepted in His presence. Philippians 3:9 says, "And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith."

We have everything that we need from God to face this new year. Let us walk in confidence through our faith in Him. Let us remember that our prayer is powerful and effective because of what Jesus had done in our life. When we pray, we come before the throne of our Heavenly Father, who loves and cares about us, and there is nothing to fear. He hears and answers our prayers according to His Mighty and Powerful plan in our life.

Ask yourself these questions: Why should I have confidence in this new year? Why is it my prayer is powerful and effective? Why should I prioritize prayer in my new year resolution?

Write down all the worries you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, I humbly come before your throne this morning. Thank you for hearing my prayers and answering them according to your mighty plan in my life. Please help me prioritize prayer this new year to have confidence and peace in my heart. Please help me put my confidence in you and not on my own wisdom and strength, for you are greater than all my problems. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
