LIVING THROUGH US

Now that our Lord Jesus lives in us, we have the wonderful privilege of being in Him all the time. We have a constant connection with God no matter what is going in our lives. In our difficulties and challenges in life, God is with us in all of them. He feels our frustrations, fears, doubts, joy, and sorrows. And He also knows our sinful behavior and thoughts. Despite all our weaknesses and faults, He never gives up on us, but instead, He is always at work in our lives to change us to be the people that He wants us to be. God has a wonderful plan in our lives, and He will fulfill them through His faithfulness and sacrificial love towards us.

One reason many Christians have difficulty living for God is that they still want to control their lives. They are not willing to surrender their lives to God even though Jesus is living in them. They are not allowing our Lord Jesus to live through them; thus, there is always a constant inner battle within them. Our Lord Jesus is not the same gods of this world that we can control and manipulate to give us what we want. Our Lord Jesus is the God that controls our very existence in this world; as a result, we cannot ignore Him in our lives. In order for us to experience the full presence of God in our lives, we need to let our Lord Jesus live through us.

So how do we allow Jesus to live through us as He lives in us? The answer is simple, but it is difficult to do without relying on God. The answer is to surrender our lives to Him by walking with Him daily. In our school, work, or home, we need to do things that please God, such as being helpful, kind, forgiving, loving, trusting God, honest, generous, etc. As we allow Jesus to live through us, we will then experience the fulness of life.

Ask yourself these questions: As my Lord Jesus lives in me, how does he want me to live my life? Why is it so important to let Jesus live through me? Am I willing to completely surrender my life to Jesus and let him control my life?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, I am thankful that my Lord Jesus lives in me. Please help me to let my Lord Jesus live through me by allowing Him to control my life. Please help me now with (mention your prayer requests). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
