When we became genuine believers of our Lord Jesus Christ, we realized that we needed a Savior. We realized that we needed God to forgive us and that we needed Him to help us with all the problems and struggles we were going through. Regardless of why we genuinely believed in our Lord Jesus Christ, we decided to believe in Him because we needed Him. Genuine belief means complete surrender. So what does it mean to surrender our life to him completely? It means that we put our Lord Jesus Christ to sit on the throne of our hearts. We allow Him to rule in our hearts.
When I genuinely believed in the Lord Jesus at 15 years old, I began to walk in Christ Jesus daily. It did not mean that I became perfect, but my heart's desire changed to pleasing God. I started to read my bible and pray more to understand the ways of God because I wanted to follow God's ways. I knew that God's ways are better than my ways, and the more I learned how much He loves me, the more I wanted to draw closer to Him and serve Him. I began to rely on Him in everything. I began to seek His will in my life and accept whatever He had for me. As I continued to walk in Christ Jesus, my life began to change.
True Christianity is not a Sunday service only, but it is about walking in Christ Jesus daily. We are following our Lord Jesus, not because of His provision and protection, but because of our relationship with Him. He loves us, and we love Him. We allow God to lead us instead of leading Him. We follow God instead of God following us.
Ask yourself these questions: What does it mean to believe in Him genuinely? What was the reason that I decided to believe in the Lord Jesus genuinely? Am I allowing God to sit on the throne of my heart?
Write down all the worries you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for saving me through your Son, Lord Jesus. Please forgive me if I haven't been walking in Christ Jesus. Please continue to teach me to walk in Christ Jesus daily. Please help me surrender everything to you and trust you in every part of my life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
