Being sealed of the Holy Spirit means that God is the owner of our life and salvation. When we became true believers of our Lord Jesus Christ, God sent the Holy Spirit to live in us as a guarantor that we belong to God forever, and this is the reason that we are secured of our salvation. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 says, "And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee." It is not because of our performance of being good on a daily basis that we will make it in Heaven, but it is because the Holy Spirit has sealed us. When we stand before God in the end and give an account of how we live our life on this earth, God will see His seal on us and will excitedly welcome us into His Heavenly kingdom and give us our eternal inheritance, which is our eternal life.
In ancient times, the king carries his signet ring to seal everything important to him. He would use the melted wax to dip his signet ring and stamp whatever he needed to seal. When everyone saw the king's seal, everyone knew that it belonged to the king and carried the king's authority. Similarly, our King put His seal on us by giving us the Holy Spirit to show that we belong to God. Since we have been sealed through the Holy Spirit, we need to live our life for Him because we belong to Him.
Let us live courageously today. We have been sealed through the Holy Spirit; as a result, we are secured in God. Let us not live in doubt about our salvation. All our past, present, and future sins can be forgiven as we confess them to God and surrender our life to Him. Let us leave our sinful lifestyle and live for God. We have been sealed because we now belong to Him and not this world.
Ask yourself these questions: How did God seal me? What does it mean to be sealed by the Holy Spirit? How should I live my life as God has sealed me?

Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for sealing me by giving me the Holy Spirit. I am secured in you forever because I have been sealed. Since I belong to you, would you please help me leave my sinful lifestyle behind and live for you? I can only find peace in life when my life completely surrenders to you. Please do a mighty change in my life. I want to live my life for you. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
