When God chose us to be His adopted children before the creation of the world, He committed Himself to make us to be the people He wanted us to be. He knew that loving us would be a sacrifice for Him, but He didn't change His mind because He loved us just the thought of us. So when He created us, we became the masterpiece of His creation. A masterpiece is considered the most outstanding work of an artist's career, so we are God's most outstanding creation, and there is nothing better creation than us. He did not only create us with unique abilities as human beings, but He created in His own image. As a result, God is committed to finishing the good work He started in us. Philippians 1:6 says, "being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
There is not a moment that God is not working in our lives, even when it seems He is silent in our situations. He is always active, and He will continue to be active until His work in us is completed. Sometimes we feel that God does not care or He is absent in our circumstances, but He is always working behind the scene, which we cannot discern with our limited minds and understanding. Looking back since I gave my life to Lord when I was 15 years old, I have seen the mighty hand of God working in my life over and over again. I would not be here today, serving Him, if He had not been working in my life. Every good thing in me came from Him.
So let us be encouraged that God is still working in our attitudes and changing our hearts. As we go on with our day today, I want to encourage us to let our loving Heavenly Father work in our hearts. Let us listen to what He is putting in our hearts to do and obey Him because He knows what is best for us, for we are His precious masterpiece.
Ask yourself these questions: What does it mean that I am God's masterpiece? Do I believe that God is always at work in my life? How should I live my life, knowing that God is always working behind the scene in light of the challenges I face?
Write down all the worries you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for being your masterpiece. I am blessed to know that you are always at work in my life, making me the person you want me to be. Please help me trust you and not try to control my life. Thank you for reminding me today that you are still at work and that you will finish what you started in my life. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
