I AM FREE FROM CONDEMNATION

One of the reasons that we do not experience the freedom that we have in our Lord Jesus Christ is our past sin. We still condemn ourselves today for what we have done in the past, even though we have confessed and asked for forgiveness time and time again. The Bible clearly states that if we confess our sins to our Lord Jesus Christ, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all our sins (1 John 1:9). Our Heavenly Father has forgiven every sin we have done, no matter what it is, and even chose not to remember them. Hebrews 8:12 says, "For I will forgive their sins and will remember their sins no more." We have to believe in our hearts that our God has forgiven all our past sins. He is bigger than our sins.

When God forgives us of our sins, we need to believe that we are forgiven in our hearts and minds. Let us not condemn ourselves, for God does not condemn us for our past sins. He doesn't use our past sins against us because God has died for them and washed them away. We are free from our past sin; as a result, we are free from condemnation. If we are still condemning ourselves for our past sins, then we do not really believe in the power of the cross and the power of God to forgive sins.

Let us take a deep breath and slowly exhale and tell ourselves that we are forgiven. We are free because Jesus has set us free. Let us start living in the freedom we have in our Lord Jesus Christ. We are forgiven, and we can be the person that God wants us to be. If Satan or the devil reminds us of our past sins and we start to feel condemned again, let us tell ourselves that those past sins have been forgiven, and we are no longer condemned of those past sins. Let us live out in our minds and hearts the forgiveness we have in Christ Jesus starting today.

Ask yourself these questions: What did Jesus promise us when I confess my sins to Him? Do I believe that I am forgiven and that God does not condemn me anymore? Knowing that all my past sins have been forgiven, how should I live today?

Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that all my past sins have been forgiven because my Lord Jesus had died for them. Thank you for no longer condemning me but have completely forgiven me. Please help to live in the freedom that I have in you. Please help me not to condemn myself anymore, for you have set me free. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
