I AM CO-HEIR WITH CHRIST

What does co-heir with Christ mean? An heir is a person who receives an inheritance from his parents. Everything that the parents own will be transferred to the children's ownership because the children are the heirs. With our relationship with our Heavenly Father, we are the co-heir with Christ because we are His children. We are God's children because we all believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12), and the Holy Spirit that is in us testifies that we are all God's children. When we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, we became united with His death and resurrection. It means that we became one with Him in His death. When He died on the cross, we died with Him and died to our sin, but when He was resurrected in a new life, we have been resurrected with Him in a new life and received a new nature that is no longer under the power of sin. In addition, we received an inheritance, which is eternal life. When Jesus was resurrected from the dead, He conquered death and received a glorified body, so we too will receive a glorified body when we pass on to eternity.

Our hope is not in this world. We are just passing through this earth. We are here today and gone tomorrow. We are co-heirs with our Lord Jesus Christ. We have received eternal life, which is our hope now and our future. Let us not hold on to the things of this world, for they will all perish, but everything that matters to God will be for eternity. Let us live for God. No one knows the hour when God decides that it is time for us to go home and receive our inheritance.

Let us not fear about tomorrow. God has our future in His hands. He will take care of us, for we are His Children. We all have dreams and wants in this world, but everything we can ever have and dream of in this world cannot be compared to what we will inherit in Heaven. So let us fix our eyes on Jesus. Think of our future. All the sufferings and challenges of life are all temporary. We will make it through this life no matter how difficult it gets because we are overcomers and co-heirs with Christ.

Ask yourself these questions: What does being co-heir with Christ means? Where is my future? What is my hope in this world and future?

Write down all the worries you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for making me a co-heir with Christ. My hope is not in this world but you. Thank you for the eternal life, and I look for that day when I will receive the full inheritance you have reserved for me. In the meantime, please help me fix my eyes on you and not hold on to the things of this world. Please help me live my life for you while I am on this earth. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
