HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US

Have you ever ask the question, "why Jesus had to die on the cross to save us from our sin?" If He is a powerful God and in control of everything, He could have saved us without dying on the cross. He could have just declared us saved, and we would have been saved. However, since He is a God of justice and righteousness, He has to judge the sins of this world. The penalty for our sin is death. If God has to save us, someone has to die for our sins. If we die for our sins, then we would be dead forever, because we would not have any power to raise ourselves from death. This is the reason God had to die for our sins so that He could save us. Jesus was the only one who had the power to die for our sins and rose back to life again.

When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, we died with him for our sins, but when He rosed from the dead, we rosed from the dead with Him. Everything that Jesus had done on the cross, we became a part of it because we believed in Him. Believing in Him is all that we have to do to be saved because He had done it all for us. Our good works are not enough to pay for our sins. We were helpless and hopeless in our sins. We didn't have the ability to save ourselves, but because of God's great love of us, He came to our world to die for our sin and raised us up from spiritual death.

As you pray this morning, remember that God loves you and cares about you. You can trust Him with all your heart, knowing that He has the best plan in your life.

Father in heaven, thank you for sending your son, Jesus Christ, for dying for my sin so that I can be saved. Thank you for loving me. I pray that you will continue to teach me your ways. Please give me a hunger to know you that I may live for you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
