GOD IS THE CREATOR

Updated: Jun 2, 2020

The very foundation of our faith in God is our belief that God is the creator of everything. In John 1:3, it says, "All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made." Any professing Christian who does not believe that God created the heavens, the earth, and everything in it will eventually crumble down in his/her faith in God. Satan knows that if he can distort our view about creation, he can easily deceive us and abandon our faith in God. This is the reason he populated the big bang theory and evolution in the school system to disregard God in our schools.

Many people believe that everything that we see around us came from an explosion in the space, called big bang theory. They claim that billions of years ago, an explosion occurred, and through that explosions, the earth was formed. The evolutionary process started from amoeba to apes, then to humankind. No matter how fascinating or absurd the big bang theory and evolutionary process are, they are contradicting what the Bible teaches. The Bible clearly states that God created the heavens, the earth, and everything on the earth, including us, humans. People who believe in big bang theory and Evolution think that science proves their theories. On the contrary, science shows that God created everything. Many top scientists and mathematicians are believing in God because they are discovering amazing proof that God is the creator of everything.

God created everything for His purpose. He created this amazing universe and the earth that we are living in to show His greatness, and He created us to declare His praises and to worship Him. Colossians 1:16 says, "For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him." When we go outside today and look at the sky, the sun, and the trees, and feel the breeze, and breathe air into our lungs, we need to remind ourselves that God created all these things and that He is watching over us.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I truly believe that God created the universe and me? If God is the creator of everything, how should I respond to Him?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for helping me to understand that you are the creator of the universe. I praise you for the trees, the sun that keeps me warm, the air that I breathe, the water that I drink, and the ground that I walk on. How magnificent you are, my God. Thank you that you did not only create me but you love and care about me. Please help me now with (mention your prayer requests). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
