GOD'S LOVE TOWARDS THOSE WHO ARE SAVED

The first type of God's love is the common love that includes everyone, including the unbelievers. The second type of God's love is for those who genuinely believe in the Lord Jesus. Jesus prayed this prayer for us in John 17:26, "I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." No one has seen the Father, but when Jesus came to this world to save us from sin, He made the Father known to us. Our Father in Heaven and our Lord Jesus have an unbroken love for each other, and Jesus prayed that their unbroken love would also be in us. Jesus loves us with unbroken love. The Apostle Paul says these words in Romans 8:38-39, "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

It is God's love that saved us, it is His love that will sustain us in this world, and it will be His love that will take us home to be with Him forever. We are secure in His love. When we feel that the world is crushing down on us, let us look up to God's love. And when we doubt how much He loves us, let us look up to the cross. Everything that we are facing today is only last for a moment. Our security is in our Heavenly Father's love. Never think for a moment that God does not love us. Even when we sin, He still loves us, although He grieves for our sins because sin destroys what is good in us and offends Him.

God's love for us is stronger than we can ever love Him. Let us receive His love and let His love changes us. Jesus says this in John 15:9, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love." No matter what we have done, God still loves us because we genuinely believe in the Lord Jesus, for there is no sin that God cannot wash away through the blood of our Lord Jesus.

Ask yourself these questions for application: (Think through carefully and meditate on the questions while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speak to you) Do I believe that God loves me? How much God loves me? How can I receive God's unbroken love?

Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for your unbroken love towards me. I am secure forever in your love. Please work in my heart if anything hinders me from receiving and enjoying your love. Please help me to walk in your love and trust you completely. In your name Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.
