GOD HAS MY FUTURE

The future for us is always a mystery because we never know what is going to happen. We think that we can predict what would happen in an hour, a day, a month, or a year from now, but the truth of the matter is we simply do not know. But our Heavenly Father in Heaven knows every single future event that will take place, including ours. One night, the king of Egypt (Pharoah) had two consecutive dreams that meant the same thing. The first dream was about seven malnourished cows ate seven healthy cows. The second dream was about seven thin, scorched ears of grain swallowed seven healthy ears of grain. The king of Egypt was very worried about his dreams and wanted to know their meaning, but no one could interpret them. It was then that the king of Egypt summoned Joseph from jail because he heard from his cupbearer that Joseph could interpret dreams.

When Joseph arrived in the presence of the king (Pharoah), here's what he told him, "Pharoah's dreams are one and the same. God told to Pharoah what He is about to do." (Genesis 41:25). The meaning of the dreams was that God would bring seven years of great abundance in the land, followed by seven years of severe famine. God gave Pharoah two dreams with the same meaning because these events were about to take place. (Genesis 41:14-32). Pharaoh could not interpret his dreams because he didn't know God, so God used Joseph to interpret them. God wanted to prove to Pharoah that He is the true living God by allowing this event to happen.

Regardless of what is going around the world today, God is in control. He holds the future of the world. There is nothing that happens in this world that He doesn't know in advance. Although we may not know what our future holds, we never lose hope because our Heavenly Father has our future in His loving hands. Our future destiny is to live in the new world and heaven that He is preparing for us. If we are discouraged or worry about tomorrow, be encouraged because God has our future. God will never abandon us, but He will keep us forever as His precious children.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that God has my future in His loving hands? Do I trust God with my life? What does it mean to trust God with my future?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that you have my future in your loving hands. Although I do not know what would happen tomorrow, I trust you with all my life because you are my God and my Heavenly Father, who loves and cares about me. Thank you that no matter what happens, I will be secure in you. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
