There was a man named Jairus, whose daughter was very sick and to the point of death. Jairus was one of the religious leaders of the Jewish community, and despite his influence and wealth, he was in a place of impossibility to save his daughter. The last thing that He wanted to do was to go to Jesus because the religious leaders despised Jesus. However, out of his desperation, he went to Jesus as his only hope in saving his daughter. As they were going to Jairus' house, a messenger from his house told him that his daughter was dead. But when Jesus heard their conversation, Jesus encouraged Jairus to believe in Him. When they arrived at Jairus' house, people were already mourning and weeping. Jesus then took Jairus' family to the room where the daughter was lying, and Jesus miraculously raised the twelve-year-old daughter from the dead (Mark 5:21-43).
Life can be very tough sometimes. There are times we feel like we are in an impossible situation. It seems we do not have answers to our problems. We feel stuck and do not know what to do. As children of God, because of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12), we will never lose hope because we have a God who can perform miracles and cares about us. There is no problem that we face that God cannot handle. We need to trust in Him in order for us to experience His power in our lives, just like Jairus experienced with his daughter. Let us not worry about what other people think. Let us believe and trust in Jesus because Jesus is the God of miracles.
So let us trust our Lord Jesus when we face impossible situations. Let us continue to pray and lift our prayer requests to Him. And when we feel we are doubting, let us ask God to believe in Him. Let us never forget that God cares about us.
Ask yourself these questions: What should I do when I face a difficult problem? Do I believe that God cares about me and my situations?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayers:
Father in heaven, thank you that you love and care about me. Please help me to trust in you, especially when I am going through a difficult problem. Please provide everything that I need and show me what to do. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
