GLORIFICATION

The final step of our redemption from sin is glorification. When our Heavenly Father redeemed us by paying the penalty of our sin with the blood of our Lord Jesus, His ultimate goal was to restore us in His very presence. Our Heavenly Father wants us to be with Him in a new heaven and a new earth that He is preparing for us at this moment, where there is no more pain, suffering, sin, and death. Our God is longing for the day when we will praise and worship Him in His very presence. The final destiny of every single believer of our Lord Jesus Christ is to be with Him in heaven. Our lifetime on this earth is not meant to be forever, no matter how we want it. As the day goes by, we are getting closer to be with Him. As we add days to our age, our body aches and longs for a better place.

Glorification is the process in which God would change our earthly bodies into heavenly bodies that we may live forever with Him in a new heaven and a new earth. The time will come when God will change all of us to be completely holy in body, soul, and spirit. All the sufferings and death we are experiencing in this world will be replaced with eternal contentment, joy, and peace. Romans 8:22-23 says this, "We know that the whole creation has been groaning in labor pains until now; and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies."

So let us not lose hope in whatever situations that we are in today. All the challenges and sufferings that we are going through will pass. They are all temporary. Our glorification keeps on getting closer as the days go by. Let us keep our eyes on our Heavenly Father and trust in Him completely. Our Lord Jesus Christ has completed our salvation. We will be forever His no matter what happens to us in this world.

Ask yourself these questions: What is glorification? How should I live my life today knowing that I will be changed someday?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that my future hope is in you. I am so thankful for everything that you have done in my life. Please help me to trust in you and live for you while I wait on that day when you will take me to be with you forever. May you bless me now as I go on with my tasks today. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
