FOLLOWING GOD'S DIRECTION

As we all know already, believing in God requires surrendering our lives to Him. It is not just saying that we believe in God, but it is about surrendering our lives to Him. If we say we believe in God, but we are not willing to surrender our lives to Him, we are deceiving ourselves because God wants us to prove that we believe in Him by allowing Him to be the Lord of our lives. God wants us to surrender our lives to Him because it is the only way that He can guide us through this life. He loves us so much that He does not want us to destroy our lives because God knows that our feelings and understanding can easily deceive us. So many people have destroyed their lives because of their bad decisions. The Bible says, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death." (Proverbs 14:12).

Kyle was one of the best soccer players in his school, and he was offered to play for a professional team while still a senior in high school. He was also offered college scholarships from different universities. His parents wanted him to go to college first, then go to play professionally later. But as Kyle prayed for guidance, God wanted him to follow his parents' advice. However, his friends and coaches were encouraging him to join the professional team. They told him that he could become famous, make a lot of money, and buy the things he wanted. After all, he loved to play soccer, and his dream was to become a professional soccer player. He decided to visit the professional team, and as he was walking to the training building, he saw the professional players, and he was attracted to what they had. He got home, and he was very excited to join the professional team. All he had to do was to sign the contract, and he was in. But as he prayed about it more, God wanted him to play for college first, so Kyle was torn into making decisions. Kyle remembered that believing in God means surrendering his life to God, and he believed that God's way was better than his ways. The next day, Kyle decided to turn down the offer of joining the professional team and joined the college soccer team. It was the best decision that he ever made because God blessed his time in college. His faith in God grew stronger, and he improved more as a soccer player. He eventually graduated and became a professional player for four years. After he finished playing soccer, he went to medical school and became a physician.

God's ways are better than our ways because He sees the future. God wants to lead our lives on the right path. Let us not settle for less. If we truly believe in God, we need to surrender our lives to Him and let Him guide us. We will never be disappointed when we give our lives to God.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I trust the Lord with my life? What is the benefit of surrounding my life to God? Is there anything that is stopping me in surrendering my life to God completely?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
