DEALING WITH IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS

When the Israelites entered the land that God promised them to take under Joshua's leadership, they went up against Jericho's highly fortified city. The wall of the city was so massive that it was impenetrable. But God had an unimaginable plan on how to take down the wall of Jericho. The wall would not come down by Joshua and his men's strength and power, but it would come down through their faith in God. God directed Joshua to march around Jericho's wall for six days without making any sounds, and on the seventh day, they would march seven times and shout at the end. When the people did what God directed them to do, Jericho's wall suddenly shook violently and crumbled down the ground. The Israelites were able to conquer the city that day (Joshua 6)

In 2013 when I went to Israel, I was able to see the place where this took place, and you could still see the massive stones that were parts of Jericho's wall. God showed Joshua that to conquer his enemies, he must always trust and rely on Him. There are times that we try to solve our problems through our wisdom and strength, but there are times that the only way to resolve our problems is through our faith in God, especially when we are dealing with impossible situations.

God wants us to continue to walk in faith in Him. If we are going through a difficult situation right now, and we feel like we are facing a Jericho wall, let us lift our concerns to God and trust in Him. Whatever we are facing today, God can take care of them as long as we follow His direction, just like Joshua and his men did.

Ask yourself these questions: Am I facing a difficult situation right now? What does God want me to do in my difficult situation? Do I trust God that He can help me to resolve my problem?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayers:

Father in heaven, thank you for always being there for me. You know everything that I am facing at this time, and there is nothing impossible for you. Please help me to trust in you and give me directions on how I can handle my current situations. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
