DEALING WITH FAILURES

Before Jesus was arrested in the garden of Gethsemane and led to be crucified, Jesus told Peter that he would deny Him three times before a rooster crowed. Still, Peter insisted that he was ready to go to prison and death with Him. It was not before long that it came true what Jesus told Peter. Peter denied Jesus three times before the rooster crowed. Afterward, Peter was grieved for failing to do what he promised Jesus. The only thing that he could do was to follow Jesus from a distance. After the death of Jesus, Peter was still suffering from his failure and losing Jesus. Not until Jesus was resurrected and sought after him that he was restored.

The amazing thing about Jesus was that he knew that Peter would fail Him, but He loved Peter so much that He went to Peter to restore him after His resurrection. When Jesus ascended back to heaven, Jesus made Peter the leader of the disciples. Failure is something that we do not want to experience, but since we are not perfect and do not know everything, we make mistakes, thus fail. When we fail, it is not the end of us, but God can use our failure to make us the person He wants us to be. God can use our failure to teach us something valuable to build us up.

So let us not give up when we fail, but let us continue to trust and walk with God. Also, do not be afraid to make mistakes and fail in the process of doing good. It is part of the adventure of being a human. Many people have failed in life, but they became successful because they used their failure to teach them and guide them to do the right thing in the future. And when we fail, we can rest assured that the hands of our loving heavenly Father will be there to catch us and restore us. When Peter failed Jesus, it was not the end of his life, but it became the wonderful beginning of his life because Jesus restored him. Jesus used Peter's failure to make him a leader of the disciples.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that God can use my failure to make me the person that He wants me to be? What should I do when I'm afraid of failing? Do I believe that God can restore my failures?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that you are the God of restoration. No matter how I fail, you can restore me and lead me back to the right path. Please help me to trust you in my failures. Please help me now with (mention your prayer requests). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
