Before anyone can live for God and live through Him, a person must be born-again. Being born-again means to have a new life in Christ Jesus. We become alive in the spirit, and our Lord Jesus lives in us. As our Lord Jesus lives in us, His Spirit changes us to live for Him and through Him. We cannot live for God and live through Him if we are not born-again. To be born-again is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with genuine faith. It is not something that we just say, but we mean it in our hearts because it requires surrendering our lives to God. God knows if we are faking our faith in God because God will never come into our lives if we are not serious.
Many people try to live Christianity without Jesus living in them. They thought that they could rely on their effort to gain God's acceptance and approval. They would try to be good, go to church, pray, or give money to the church, but those are not enough if they are not born-again. We are accepted and approved by God because of our genuine faith in the Lord Jesus. When Jesus lives in us, His Spirit gives us the power and strength to live for Him. God knows that our own strength is not enough to live for Him. This is the reason God sent our Lord Jesus Christ to die on the cross and be resurrected on the third day so that those who will believe in Him will be forgiven and that they will be changed by living in them.
Let us be thankful that our Lord Jesus lives in us. There is not a moment that our Lord Jesus is not in us, even when we sin and rebel against Him. He is always there to help us live for Him and through Him. We can always talk to Him in our hearts because He always hears the whispers of our hearts. Jesus is our ever-present help because He lives in us.
Ask yourself these questions: Who lives in me the moment I put my faith in the Lord Jesus? Who helps me to live for Him? Can I live for God and live through God if Jesus does not live in me? Why?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
