ALL SCRIPTURE

The word Scripture in this verse means the "Word of God or the Bible." All Scripture refers to every individual portion of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Everything in the Bible is God's breath, which means that God inspires every portion of the Bible. God directed all the writers of the Bible through the Holy Spirit to write the entire Bible. All God's chosen writers wrote what God had led them to write, and eventually, all the books of the Bible were compiled into one book, called the Word of God or the Bible. There is not a single word that does not come from God, so it is perfect. And this is the reason we cannot pick and choose what we want to believe in the Bible. We can either accept the entire Bible as the Word of God or not. God provided us the Word of God to help us get to know Him and His ways.

The Bible teaches us how we worship God and live our lives as Christians in this world. It teaches us how to live a godly life. It shows us what is right and wrong in the sight of God. It corrects us to walk in the ways of God. It trains us to live for Him. God's goal in our lives is to equip us to do good work. When we become Christians by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, God then starts to change our hearts to do good works. Our good works are a result of our salvation and not the means for our salvation. The reason we do good is that we are already saved. God uses the Word of God to make us be the people that God wants us to be. So when we are confronted with ideas and beliefs in this world, we need to know and understand what the Bible says, and we will base all our thinking and decisions on our Bible. There is only one God, and the Bible is His Word.

If we want to follow and obey God, we need to follow the Word of God. The only way we follow the Word of God is to know and live out what is in it. So let us make time to read and study our Bible daily. The Word of God can only affect our lives when we read and apply it. Let us continue to use our daily devotion to help us spend time with God. We can think through the verse of each devotion and memorize it if we can. There are so many things that God can speak to us if we spend time with Him in His Word.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that the Word of God or the Bible is inspired by God? If my Bible is the Word of God, do I believe everything that it says? Am I willing to live and based my whole life on the Word of God?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for your Word. Would you please help me read and study your Word that I may know your ways and worship you in spirit and truth? Please help me to make time to spend time with you. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
