ACCESS TO GOD

Communication is a very important part of our relationship with God. God speaks to us, and we speak to Him. Although God communicates with us in so many ways, there is only one way to communicate back to Him. Many people communicate with God through different mediums, such as through different rituals, prayer mantras, etc. Others offer animal sacrifices and fruits, hoping that God will listen to them. But the Bible is very clear that there is only one way to God, our Father, and that is through our Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through our Lord Jesus Christ's death and resurrection that we have access to God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life no one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).

It is fascinating to see how our communication with God works. Every time we communicate to God, the triune God work together. The Holy Spirit that lives in us helps us to pray through our Lord Jesus so that our heavenly Father can receive our prayers. The Holy Spirit helps us to express our deepest needs to God (Romans 8:26). He is the one that teaches and gives us the power to pray. Our Lord Jesus is where our prayers go through because He is the only way to our Father. This is the reason without believing in the Lord Jesus, our prayers are futile or useless. And once our prayers pass through our Lord Jesus, our heavenly Father hears our prayers and answers them according to His purpose and plan in our lives.

As we can see that our communication with God is very important to God. God helps us to pray and make sure that our prayers are heard because we have direct access to our heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus. So there are no wasted prayers. All our prayers are heard, and our heavenly Father answers them accordingly. Let us never think that God does not hear our prayers. God is good, faithful, and trustworthy. Let us set aside a time to communicate with Him today, and if you do not know what to say, ask the Holy Spirit to help you pray.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that my prayers matter to God? How does the Triune God work together in helping me to pray?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to live in me so that He can help me to pray. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your death and resurrection so that I can have access to my heavenly Father, and thank you, Father, for listening to all my prayers and answers them according to your plan in my life. Please help me now with (mention your prayer requests). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
