GOD'S LOVE IS UNIQUE AND UNPARALLELED

When we understand and believe that God loves us consistently and passionately, we will always feel secure, even in times of failure, fear, and confusion. God's love for us is unique and unparalleled, unlike anything we can experience from another human being. Perhaps the closest comparison to God's love for us is the love of our parents or any other human beings who have shown us care and love. However, all human beings' love is limited because our understanding of things is limited. Our experiences as human beings are limited by our time, due to our age. Unlike God, God's understanding is unlimited. Therefore, God's love for us is based on His infinite being and limitless understanding of love. God's love for us is much higher and stronger than any human being can love. God's love for us is always above any of our circumstances. Our sufferings do not dictate how much God loves us. When we go through suffering, God's love for us never changes.

There are Christians who have a wrong understanding of God's love when they are going through suffering. They believe that God doesn't care or love them because God allowed them to suffer. They don't believe that God cares and loves them when God doesn't give them what they are praying for. Thus, many people walk away from God because they believe that God does not love them. However, it is far from the truth. God loves us through our suffering and lost. We may not fully understand why God does not grant us what we pray for, but He will always take care of us. He may not heal or give us what we are hoping to get, but He always provides for our needs. When we sin and stumble, He always pursues us to repent and forgive our sins. When we are confused and fearful, He always reminds us to trust in Him. John 15:9 says, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love."

We need to tell ourselves that God loves us. When in doubt, we need to remind ourselves that God loves us. When we are afraid and fearful, we need to remind ourselves that God loves us. When we feel ashamed and guilty for our sins, we need to remember that God loves us. When we feel unloved because of the things that we have done, we need to tell ourselves that God loves us. When we are disappointed, we need to remind ourselves that God loves us.

Questions for application: (Think through these questions carefully, meditate on them while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speak to you.) Do I believe that God loves me? What should I do when I doubt God's love for me? What lesson that God show me in today's devotion?

Take a moment to write down all your worries today. Then, lift them to God in prayer, surrendering them to His will and trusting in His guidance.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, I am always secure because of your love. Thank you for reminding me this morning how much you love me. Please do not allow my mind and heart to be swayed in any other way. Please help me to remain in your love in whatever situations I face today. In your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
