GOD NEVER FORGETS HIS CHILDREN

Have you ever felt feeling forgotten? It seems that nobody cares. Sometimes, feeling forgotten can be the most painful experience we can go through because the people we rely on seem to have disappeared. After the cupbearer was released from jail and was restored to serving the king, he did not remember Joseph but forgot him. (Genesis 40:23). However, Joseph never lost his faith in God because he was not putting his hope on mankind, but he is putting his hope in God. There is always a tendency for us to trust in mankind instead of God alone. But we need to realize that mankind is not perfect, even our spouse, families, and friends. All mankind makes mistakes, and they will do things that may seem to have forgotten us.

The Bible did not give us the timeline on how long Joseph waited until the king finally called for him to interpret his dreams. But when the king of Egypt had his two dreams, no one could interpret them, even his counselors. The cupbearer suddenly remembered Joseph. He told the king of Egypt that there was a Hebrew slave that interpreted his dream when he was in jail, and everything that he said came true. So the king of Egypt called for Joseph immediately and met him. This was the turning point of Joseph's life. After this event, he would never be the same again.

When Joseph felt like feeling forgotten, God showed up in his situation. God could easily remind the cupbearer about Joseph. As believers, we always have God in us, and He can't forget us because we are His children, and He lives in us (1 John 4:12). We may be waiting for a long time in our situation and feeling forgotten, but God will never forget us. In due time, He will open the door for us and lead us to the right path. We just need to wait patiently for him and trust him. And never harbor any bitterness or resentful towards those who seem to have forgotten us, but let us forgive and love them just as the Lord commanded us. Let us put our hope completely on God.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that God will never forget me? Why? Who should I put my trust in? What should I do when I feel like being forgotten?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in heaven, thank you that you are always with me even when I feel like being forgotten or feeling no one cares about me. Please help me to patiently wait for you to open the door and lead me to the right path. And please help me not to harbor bitterness or resentment to those who seem to have forgotten me, but to forgive and love them just as you commanded me. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
