King David was the author of Psalm 14, and he wrote about the wickedness of this world. He wrote, "Only fools say in their hearts, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! (Psalm 14:1-3)" In today's society, many believe that there is no God. They try to influence the schools and workplaces to get rid of God. As a result, wickedness is rampant, and many suffer because of corruption. The problem is the heart of people, and not only the system. As long as the heart is corrupt, people will continue to do ungodly things. There is no remorse in their hearts, and everyone is for themselves. However, Jesus came to this world to save people from wickedness and those who believe in Him, their hearts are changed. They are no longer under the wickedness of this world but under the righteousness of God.
God will eventually judge the wickedness of this world, but in the meantime, genuine believers of the Lord must continue to live for God. We must persevere in our faith and do what is right before our God. Let us live according to God's truth, for God is always with us. King David believed that only God could restore his people from wickedness (Psalm 14:7). God is the only one who can change people's hearts. The people in leadership tried to use the system to change people's hearts, but they always failed. The reason they failed is because the problem is the heart. The prison system and education cannot change people's hearts. Only God can transform our hearts through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. The answer to all the wickedness and corruption of this world is to genuinely believe in the Lord Jesus and surrender to Him.
As genuine believers of our Lord Jesus, we must live according to the ways of God. We are no longer under the wickedness of this world. Let us listen and allow the Holy Spirit to change our hearts. Let God continue transforming our hearts by renewing our minds with His truth.
Ask yourself these questions for application: (Think through these questions carefully and meditate on them while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speaks to you). How am I living my life today? Am I allowing God to change my heart? Why is it important to believe and surrender my life to Jesus?
Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, I thank you that you are the answer to all the wickedness and corruption of this world. May your truth shine through me today, and help me live it out to shine your righteousness. Holy Spirit, please continue transforming my heart, and do not let me be hardened by sin. Give me the courage to live in your righteousness and share your love and truth wherever I am today. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
