The more we understand how much God loves us, the more we will be secure in our faith in Him; thus, it leads us to trust, follow, and obey Him. Ephesians 3:17-19 says, "Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." What truly keeps us strong in life is being rooted in God's love. Being rooted in God's love is more than knowing about God's love; it's about experiencing it by accepting and allowing it to influence every action and decision we make. God's love for us becomes the source of our assurance and strength, enabling us to withstand challenges and trials in life.

Whenever I encounter difficult problems that are beyond my understanding, I find myself relying on the love of God. When I am overwhelmed and do not know what to do, I trust in God's love, and it gives me assurance and peace that God will take care of all my concerns. In my marriage, I admit that learning to love my life as Christ wants me to love her was difficult for me to do in the beginning because I am very self-focused. However, as I trust in God's love for me, I was able to let go of the control and let God guide me on how to love my wife. In ministry, I often find myself in situations where I lack the wisdom and resources to meet the needs. However, as I trust in God's love, I am assured that He will provide everything we need. When we trust and stand on God's love, we have the assurance and confidence that God will take care of us no matter what difficult situations we are in.

Even in the midst of uncertainty, we can find strength and confidence by standing firm in the unwavering love of God. Many believers all over the world have been severely persecuted because of their faith in our Lord Jesus, yet they never lost their peace and assurance in life because they are rooted in God's love. Let us be rooted in God's love today by accepting and trusting that God loves us.

Questions for application: (Think through these questions carefully, meditate on them while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speak to you.) What does it mean to be rooted in God's love? Why is it important to be rooted in God's love? Do I truly believe in my heart that God loves me? Explain your answer.

Take a moment to write down all your worries today. Then, lift them up to God in prayer, surrendering them to His will and trusting in His guidance.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, I believe with all of my heart that you love me because you demonstrated your love for me by dying for my sins on the cross. You gave it all for me, and because of that, I will stand and trust in your love. No matter what my situation is or where I am, I will stand and trust in your love, knowing you will take care of me forever. I don't need to worry because of your great love for me. In your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
