PRECIOUS MASTERPIECE OF GOD

Our salvation is completely a work of our God. As a result, it is not something that we can produce on our own. We cannot work for it or buy it. There is nothing in us that we can gain our salvation. And this is the reason that our salvation is a gift from God. We can only receive it through a gift from God. It is free through our faith in our Lord Jesus. Ephesians 2:8-10 says, "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Our salvation is God's masterpiece. The word "masterpiece" means a wonderful, brilliant, original, and unique work. The Bible is telling us that our salvation is a wonderful, brilliant, original, and unique work of God. As a result, our new life in God is also His masterpiece work. Changing our hearts and renewing our minds to be the people that God wants us to be is included in the masterpiece work of God in us.

Every day, whether we feel it or not, God is working to accomplish His masterpiece work in us. His masterpiece work in us is for us to do good works that honor and please Him. It means that God is always working in our attitudes and behaviors. And this is the reason the Spirit of God convicts us when we sin, and He gives us the desire to do good. Even when we choose to walk away from Him, there is always a way that God brings us back to Himself. His faithfulness, love, grace, and mercy are always working in our lives. There is not a moment that we are alone, regardless of how we feel and think. God never abandons us even in our worst moments because He is determined and faithful to finish the work that He began in us (Philippians 1:6). Here's the song of Steve Green about God not giving up on us to complete His good work in us. God's masterpiece work in us is beyond this world; it is for eternity.

So, let us not lose hope. We are God's masterpiece. He will accomplish the good work that He began in us. We may give up on Him or ourselves, but He will never give up on us, for our salvation is not our own work, but it is solely the work of God. He will carry us through in this life to eternity.

Questions for application: (Think through these questions carefully, meditate on them while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speak to you.) How do I feel knowing that I am God's masterpiece? How should I live my life? What is God's goal in my life?

Take a moment to write down all your worries today. Then, lift them to God in prayer, surrendering them to His will and trusting in His guidance.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, thank you for being your masterpiece. I praise you for being so determined and faithful to change me to be the person that you want me to be. Thank you for not giving up on me, even when I am in my rebellion. You always bring me back to you. Please help me to live in the confidence and assurance that you are always with me. Please help me deal with all the concerns that I have today. In your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
