MY LIFE IS HIDDEN WITH CHRIST

"You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Your real life is Christ and when he appears, then you too will appear with him and share his glory!" (Colossians 3:1-4, GNT). As believers, we are saved by the grace of God through our faith alone in our Lord Jesus Christ. As a result, our life now belongs to our Lord Jesus. We are no longer the same as before we got saved. We have a new goal in life: to live for our God. In everything that we do, we do it for the glory of God and not promote our own will. We seek God for His will in our life, and we surrender our plans to let Him guide us. His plan becomes our plan.

If we truly believe in God, we must be willing to surrender our life to Him completely. It is very challenging to let go of the control and pride in our lives. But the more we want to control our lives and not give up our pride, the more we become desperate. We think that we can do it without surrendering our lives to God, but we end up confused and disappointed. The reason is that our understanding is limited, but if we surrender everything to God, God will take care of us. God has infinite wisdom and power to provide everything that we need. He can turn our situations to good if we completely surrender our lives to Him.

Our lives are hidden with Christ. It means that our lives are safe and secure in Him. However, for us to experience its effect, we must be willing to surrender our lives completely to Him. One of the reasons roller coasters are exciting and scary is because we do not have any control when we get in them. Once we go, we just sit tight and enjoy the ride. It is almost the same way when we allow God to control our lives. We let go of our control and let Him guide us through this life and enjoy His presence.

Ask yourself these questions: What does it mean that my life is hidden in Christ? Am I willing to surrender my life entirely to God? How much do I trust God in my life?

Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that my life is hidden with Christ. Would you please help me to surrender my life entirely to you? Please give me the courage to give up my control and pride that I may experience your life and power in and through me. Please help me trust you in every area of my life so that I may live for you. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
