One of the greatest lies that Satan puts in the mind of people is that the ways of this world are the best way to find your life. People believe that if you live your life to the fullest and do whatever you want, you will find the meaning of life. Drugs, alcohol, sex before marriage, money, relationships, career, jobs, fame, religion, or even school will save your life, but the truth of the matter is that all these things will never satisfy our life.
In today’s society, many people are losing hope and committing suicide, even though they have everything they want in life and very successful in what they do. They are all still searching for peace and life. Kanye West, a rapper and an artist, admitted that the devil made him chase gold and statue. He had everything that he wanted, but he was still searching for something that could make his life complete. Not until he had given his life to Jesus that he found peace.
The only way for us to have life in this world is to live for our Lord Jesus. Do not let social media or the movies that we watch tell us how we should live our lives because the world does not have the answers to life. Only Jesus can save our lives. The reason He came to this world is to save us and to give us a life that is full of hope and peace. Do not believe a lie from the devil that says, “if you live your life for Jesus, your life will be boring, and you will miss all the fun in this world,” “you can do what others do because it is fun and everybody does it,” or “there is nothing wrong, and besides no one will find out.” The ways of the devil will always lead to a miserable life and ultimately to death.
If we want to have a life that is full of hope and peace, we need to give our lives to Jesus because He can save our lives from death and destruction. He can lead us to a better life. We need to surrender or give our life to Him because when we surrender our life to Him, He will then be able to bless our lives. However, if we are not going to surrender our life to Him, the devil then will take advantage of our lives and fill our lives with lies that will ultimately destroy and lose our lives.
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in heaven, thank you for coming into this world to save my life. Please help me to surrender my life to you, because I know that the devil will always there to tempt me to do the things that are sinful. Please forgive me for all the sins that I have done. Help me to make a decision that will glorify and honor your name today. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
