John 3:16 (Weekly Devotion)

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, it was that time that God the Father gave His Son to us to save us from our sin. Every Christmas, the world celebrates the birth of Jesus. Every country or culture has different ways of celebrating Christmas, but the most common practices are gift-giving and family gatherings. The parents are busy preparing for the food, and the children are eager to receive their gifts. However, in spite of the busyness of the Christmas season, the meaning of Christmas is never changed. The meaning of Christmas is that God gave His only Son to us to save us from our sin because of His unfailing love towards us.

Jesus, the creator of the world and everything in it, including us, came as a human being to relate with us and to show us the way back to God. It is because of our sin that we lost our way to God, but Jesus came to lead us back to Him. There are so many sufferings in the world that many people are losing their hope, but Jesus came to give us hope, joy, and forgiveness. Christmas is all about celebrating the most precious gift of all. And the greatest gift of all is our Lord Jesus. We were lost in our sin, but God gave us His only Son to save us from our sins and to give us hope and direction to life.

In this Christmas season, I want to encourage you to remember the meaning of Christmas. We need to thank our God the Father for sending His Son to us to save us from our sins. When we give gifts to people, we need to remember that God gave His Son, Jesus, to us. And when we receive gifts from others, we need to remember that we received the most wonderful gift of all from our Heavenly Father. Do not let the business of Christmas take away the true meaning of Christmas.

Let us celebrate Christmas with the love of our Lord Jesus. Let us be thankful and forgiving. Let the Spirit of God ministers to us this Christmas season. Let us take time to pray and thank God for what He has done for us. Let us pray for our families that they will experience the meaning of Christmas. Always remember that God loves all of usi7.

Write down everything that you are thankful for, and thank God for all of them.

Let us thank God for His wonderful gift to us
