GOD VALUES US OVER ALL HIS CREATION

There are times when we are so overwhelmed with what is going on in our lives that we forget how God values us over all His creation. King David never forgot the majesty of our God. He said in Psalm 8:1-2, "O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you." When King David looked at the sky and the work of God all around Him, he was overwhelmed by how God brought human beings over all His creations. He values us over the animals of the earth and the angels above. King David turned his fears and sorrows to rejoicing in God because he realized how God valued him. If God values us more than anything on this earth, God will take care of us.

Jesus said this in Luke 12:22-29, "Look at the ravens. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can't accomplish a little thing like that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things? "Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? "And don't be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don't worry about such things."

I want to encourage all of us this morning to look at all the creation around us and see God's glory in His creation. If God created all these things around us and we are more valuable than all His creation, He will certainly take care of our concerns and needs. Let us not forget that we are important to God, and He loves and cares about us as His children. Let us trust in the goodness of God.

Ask yourself these questions for application: (Think through these questions carefully and meditate on them while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speaks to you). Do I believe that I am valuable to God? If I am valuable to God, how should I live my life in the midst of my problems? What did Jesus command me not to do when I am going through a difficult time?

Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for valuing me over all your creation. I praise you for how much you love me. Thank you for being my God. Please help me to trust you completely, knowing you will handle all my concerns and needs. I give you all the glory, honor, and praise. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
