GOD'S WONDERFUL WORKS AND GOODNESS

Psalm 111:1-5 says, "Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our Lord! He gives food to those who fear him; He always remembers his covenant." Hallelujah means Praise the Lord. When we understand the wonderful works of God, our hearts are naturally compelled to praise Him and express our gratitude. Everything that God does reveals His glory and majesty. All His creations are the expression of His great power and strength. All the good works that God has done in our lives are an expression of His greatness. He constantly provides for our food and shelter. No matter how difficult our lives are, He is always gracious and merciful. He always remembers all His promises to us; as a result, we will always have hope. We can always trust God because His righteousness never fails. We may fail Him, but He never fails us. And even in our failures, He remains faithful to us because of His great love towards us.

In the past three days, temperatures have remained below freezing, causing ice and snow to accumulate. As a result, Linda and I stayed home because driving is too dangerous due to the ice on the roads. As I was looking at the accumulation of snow in our front and back yard, I was amazed by the beauty of His creation and how creative our God is. I then began to praise and thank Him for providing us with warm shelter, food, water, and electricity. God is faithful to provide for our needs and take care of us. I know that there are people who do not have the same comfort as we have in this very cold weather, but those who trust and believe in our Lord Jesus, God takes care of them according to their situations. God takes care of all those who trust in Him because He always remembers His promises to them. We have many reasons to praise and thank God if we are willing to slow down and reflect on all the goodness He has done in our lives. 

When we think of God's wonderful creation and His goodness towards us, our burdens become lighter, and our spirits are uplifted. Let us take time to think or meditate on His wonderful creation and His goodness towards us so that we may praise and thank Him with all of our hearts.

Take a moment to write down all your worries today. Then, lift them up to God in prayer, surrendering them to His will and trusting in His guidance.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, I praise you for your wonderful creation. Thank you for your love and kindness that you have shown me. Thank you for providing for my needs and taking care of me. Please help me to take time to meditate on your greatness and goodness that I may praise and thank you with all of my heart. In your name, Jesus, I pray, Amen.
