GOD'S PURPOSE FOR HIS CREATION

God created the universe and everything in it with purpose. His purpose is to display His glory. Everything that He has made, the stars, the moon, the sky, the galaxies, the sun, humans, and everything that we can see are created by God for His glory. Psalm 19:1 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." The glory is the worthiness of God. Through all creation, we see His beauty, power, and wisdom. Although we have not seen God, we see the evidence of His existence through His creation. Romans 1:20 says, "For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God." Understanding that God created the universe and everything in it with a purpose is important for us because if God created the universe and everything in it with a purpose, then our lives have purpose and meaning as well, because we are part of His creation. 

The reason I became a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ was that when I was in middle school, I began to question the meaning of life. At that time, I believed in God, but I didn't know Him through the Bible. I just went to church and live the way I wanted to live my life. I felt like my life was stuck in the same routine every day. I eat, sleep, wake-up, and go to school, and repeat the same on the next day. I didn't know my purpose in life until I gave my life to Jesus during high school. When I realized that my purpose in life is in God through my Lord Jesus, I began to pursue God through His Word. The more I read the Bible, the more I learn that my purpose in life is to give Him all the glory by living for Him. No matter where we are in life at this time, God's purpose in our lives is to give him all the glory in everything that we do. If we desire peace in our lives, we must glorify God in everything we do, for that is the purpose of our creation. 

God's purpose for all creation is for His glory. He created us to glorify Him; consequently, our meaning and purpose in life is to honor Him in everything we do. Let us live our lives for God today. Tomorrow, we will talk about how we came to be as human beings.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, I am amazed at how you created the world. As I see the massive mountains, the stars, the moon, the sun, the sky, and your other creations, I am in awe of your beauty, power, and wisdom. Thank you for reminding me this morning that my purpose is to give you all the glory in everything that I do. Please forgive me if I haven't been living according to your purpose. Please continue to renew my mind and change my heart so that I may glorify your name. In your name, Jesus, I pray, Amen.
