GOD'S LOVE IS THE FOUNDATION OF HIS GRACE

The reason God's grace or divine favor is free is that it is grounded in the unfailing love of God. God's grace is the expression of God's love towards the world, and this is the reason God's grace is available to everyone, but only to those who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior can receive the benefit of His grace. John 3:16 says, "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." It is God's love that He sent Jesus to this world to die for our sins. It is our Lord Jesus's love that He submitted Himself to the will of the Father and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, so that those who believe in Him will be forgiven and not receive the eternal punishment of sins, but receive eternal life. Our salvation is the ultimate show of God's grace or favor to all of us who believe in our Lord Jesus. We are saved, forgiven, and made God's children not because we are good people, but because of the wonderful blessings or favor that God has given us.

God loves us dearly, and God's favor is on us. We don't need to prove ourselves that we are good people to receive God's grace. We don't need to have a good reputation or meet certain expectations to receive God's grace. We only need to believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and we will receive His full grace. I hope and pray that we will continue to realize that we already receive God's grace or favor the moment we believe in our Lord Jesus. Let us get rid of our doubt about God's grace in our lives. No matter what we have done in the past, we have been forgiven by God because of His grace. God already paid for our past, present, and future sins on the cross. Let us not worried about tomorrow because God's grace and favor will be there for us. He will take care of all of our needs according to His wonderful grace that He has given us.

Let us take time to thank God for His grace. We have God's favor and blessings because God loves us unconditionally and dearly. John 1:16 says, "For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace." (ESV).

Questions for application: (Think through these questions carefully, meditate on them while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speak to you.) How did God show His love towards me? What is the foundation of God's grace? How does God's grace impact my life?

Take a moment to write down all your worries today. Then, lift them to God in prayer, surrendering them to His will and trusting in His guidance.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, thank you for loving me so much by being so gracious to me. I do not deserve your forgiveness and blessings, yet you have forgiven me and given me blessings upon blessings. Thank you so much for loving me. I give you all the glory and praise. In your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
