DEMONSTRATION OF OUR FAITH

When king Darius saw how the God of Daniel saved Daniel from the lions, he recognized the God of Daniel. Daniel 6:25-27, "Then King Darius wrote to all the nations and peoples of every language in all the earth: 'May you prosper greatly! I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. For he is the living God and He endures forever; His kingdom will not be destroyed, His dominion will never end. He rescues and He saves; He performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.'" Through Daniel's faith in God, the king saw the evidence of the power of Daniel's God to save, and he believed in God. Daniel did not have the ability or the power to save himself, but he simply trusted in the saving power of His God.

Our faith or trust in God is one of the most powerful forces in the universe because when we have faith or trust in God, we are tapping into the power of the Almighty God, who created everything. We rely on the God who sustains every life in the universe, and there is no other God besides our God. All other gods are just man-made or manufactured gods, and they have no power to save. They all came from the imagination of mankind. Satan is not a god at all, and he is less than powerful than our God. King Darius believed in many gods, but when he saw how Daniel was saved from lions, he believed in the true and only God.

We need to remind ourselves that our faith in God in the midst of our difficulty can help others know God, especially when they witness how God works in our situations. Darius would not have known the God of Daniel if Daniel did not believe or trust in God. There are times that people who do not believe in God need to see the demonstration of our faith in our lives for them to believe. So let us continue to trust God in our problems that God may help us and become a testimony for others to see that they may believe in our God.

Ask yourself these questions: How did king Darius believe in God? Why is it important for me to believe and trust in God in the midst of my problems?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, I acknowledge that you are the true and only God, and you are the only one who can save. Please help me continue to trust in you in the midst of my problems that I may find help in my situations and that those who do not know you may come to know you as they see your power working in my life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
