God created us as emotional human beings when He created us. He gave us emotions that we may have the ability to love and to receive love. Even when we were not aware of God's love, He loved us to the fullest. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." God created us to be the recipient of His boundless love. Even before we were born, He already knew and loved us. Psalm 139:16 says, "You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed." His love is so strong that nothing can separate us from His love, even when we try to run away from His love. Romans 8:38-39 says, "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
No matter what is going in our lives, no matter how we feel about today, and no matter what we have done, God loves us to the fullest. And He wants us to walk in His love. Since God loved us before we were born, God loves us not because of our performance or good works. There is nothing to prove on our part. We just need to receive His love, and as we allow God to love us, we will be transformed by His love. His love is going to transform us into the people that He wants us to be. We do not need to strive to be loved. God does not love the way people love, and so we cannot compare God's love with anyone in this world, for God's love is much stronger than any human being could ever give.
We need to be encouraged today that we are the object of God's boundless love. We are loved no matter how we feel about ourselves. So let us walk in God's love today. We need to say it to ourselves that God loves us, and there is nothing that can separate us from His love.
Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that God loves me? Do I need to prove myself to God through my good works and performance that He may love me?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for reminding me today about your boundless love towards me. Thank you for loving me. Please help me to walk in your love in everything that I do today. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
