In Los Pinos, Columbia, children go to school through a zip line that goes from one canyon to another canyon. It is a dangerous way to go to school, but people trust the wire with their own life. Every morning, people use the half a mile zip wire to go to school without any hesitation. So far, no one has died in using it. See the YouTube video here.
As I watch the people go through the zip wire, I was encouraged by their faith in the wire. They really trust the wire that it is going to hold them. They have gone through it several times, and based on their experience, it is safe. So when they are in doubt, they remind themselves that it is safe as long as they follow the safety protocols. In the same manner, the more we experience the faithfulness of God through the different circumstances in our lives, we will learn to trust God more and more. And when we are in doubt, we can remind ourselves of God's faithfulness from our experience and His promises in the Bible.
As we remind ourselves every day that our God is trustworthy. We can trust God with our lives, and He will always be there to help us in time of our needs. When the kids in Los Pinos, Columbia, go to school every day, they have perfect peace in going through the zip line with their parents or guardians. Similarly, as we go through our daily routine in life, we will trust in the faithfulness of God in our lives. And as we trust in Him, we will experience His perfect peace in our hearts.
Ask yourself these questions: Do I trust God with my own life? Do I believe that God is faithful to help me in times of my needs? How do I experience God's perfect peace in my life?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in heaven, thank you that I can completely trust you with my life. Please help me to trust you when I am in doubt. Thank you that you are a faithful God. I pray for the children in Los Pinos, Columbia, that they will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Continue to protect them as they go to school every day. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
