THE CROSS: GOD DID IT ALL FOR US

The Bible or the Word of God is the only book in the entire world that teaches that God came to us from Heaven to put the sins of the world upon Himself that He could die for our sins to save us. God loves us so much that He willingly surrender Himself to die on the cross so that we could be forgiven and be restored in our relationship with Him. The different religions in the world teach that people need to work their way to God through their sacrifices, religious rituals, and good deeds. As a result, it is difficult for many people to trust the Lord because they do not know if they are good enough to be accepted by God. They are always doubting and trying to prove to God that they are worthy. However, the Bible shows us that God did it all for us to accept us. All we have to do is to trust our Lord and surrender ourselves to Him.

God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us from our sin. We were dead in our sin and not able to save ourselves with our own efforts, but God, who is rich in mercy and love, made us alive in Him. God is telling us to stop struggling, only believe. There was a man who was standing on a window of a burning building. He was on the 3rd floor, and the people on the ground prepared a cushion to rescue Him. The people encouraged him to jump, but the man had a dilemma: could he trust these people he did not know? It was a death and life situation for him. He ended up choosing to trust these people, and he was rescued.

Many people do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ because they do not know Him, but God already prepared for all of us the means to save us. All we have to do is to let go and trust in Him. As Christians, we need to look at the cross to remind ourselves of the tremendous love of our God towards us. God did it all for us because He loves us sacrificially and unconditionally. So when we doubt His love, let us look at the cross to remind us of His great love towards us.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that God loves me? What is my proof that God loves me? What do I need to do to be saved?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for loving me sacrificially and unconditionally. I was helpless and hopeless to save myself, but you came to rescue me. Thank you for everything that you have done to save me. Please continue to teach me your ways and help me to surrender my life to you. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
