When our Lord Jesus Christ saved us from our sin through our faith in Him, it does not mean that our struggles in life in this world will be over. We learn from our previous daily devotions that we all face various trials, but God is with us through our trials. The Bible says that we are blessed when we endure our trials or temptations. For after we endure or pass our trials, we will receive the crown of life. The crown of life refers to the eternal life we will receive when we see our Lord Jesus Christ face to face, whether that would be when we die or in His second coming to this earth. We are like an athlete that competes in a race, and when he finishes and wins the race, he will receive his reward. In our case, we will receive eternal life.
God promised us that the moment we give our lives to Him, we would receive eternal life. John 3:15 says, "That everyone who believes may have eternal life." Some of us may be going through a difficult time right now, and we may be wondering where God is in all of our trials. Satan will tempt us to doubt God's goodness, but God is encouraging us this morning to persevere in our trials. Everything that we are going through right now will all come to pass. We can endure our trials no matter how bad it gets because God will sustain us, and He will work everything out for our own good.
So let us endure through our trials, for we will receive the crown of life that God promised us. Let us not give up. Keep on believing and trusting in our Lord Jesus. God knows the pain that we are going through and understands our situations. We can make it through our trials because God will carry us through them. He will never give up on us. The sun shines after a storm passes by, and God will bless us with a fresh new day.
Ask yourself these questions: What does God encourage me to do as I go through my trials today? What does God promise me to have after enduring through my trials?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
Father in Heaven, thank you for the crown of life that you have promised me. All my struggles in this life will all pass away, for you will take care of everything for me. Please help me to completely trust in you and never give up. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
