As God’s children, God wants us not to become weary in doing good. There are times that it is not easy for us to do good, but God is encouraging us to not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. There is always a spiritual blessing when we do good. Have you noticed that when we serve the Lord or do something good for others, we feel good about ourselves? We feel good every time we do good because it is the will of God for us to do good.
Ants always impress me because of their resilience in doing good. They are tiny creatures, yet they survive throughout the year. The reason they survive throughout the year is that they never get tired of gathering food. They gather plenty of food in the summer so that they can have food in the winter. All of them work together to accomplish this. They know that if they save up plenty of food during the summer, they will be fine when the weather is too cold to gather food.
In the same manner, we need to continue to do good because it prepares us for the future. Whatever we are doing now, it affects our future. When we continue to do our daily devotion, we get to know God better and grow in our relationship with Him. As we grow in our relationship with Him, we can know His will in our lives; thus, it blesses our lives. When we serve Him with all our hearts, we reap the benefit of serving Him. So let us keep on doing good.
Ask yourself these questions: Why is it important for me to not grow weary in doing good? What are the good things that I can do today?
Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.
