PAUL BEGAN HIS THIRD MISSIONARY JOURNEY

After spending some time in Antioch, Syria, Paul began his third missionary journey to return to the places he had gone before to encourage the believers. He went to the province of Galatia and Phrygia and strengthened the believers there. While Paul was strengthening the believers from place to place, there was a Jew from Alexandria named Apollos. He was educated and knew the Old Testament Scriptures and John the Baptist's teaching of repentance, but he didn't fully understand the Savior, Jesus. Although Apollos knew only partially about Jesus, he believed in Jesus and began to share about Jesus with passion in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard Apollos teach, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately. Apollos continued to grow in his knowledge of Jesus, went to Achaia to help the church there, and passionately reasoned with the Jews that Jesus was the Savior from the Old Testament (Acts 18:23-28). (Third Missionary Journey Map).

Apollos is one of the examples who believed in Jesus and continued to share Jesus even though he didn't fully understand Jesus yet. I remember the first time I believed in Jesus, I didn't know many things about Him, yet I had a passion for letting others know about Jesus. We do not need to know many things about Jesus before we can share our faith in Jesus with others. We can start sharing Jesus by telling others why we believe in Him and how he changed our lives. As I continued to read and listen to the teaching of the Bible, I continued to grow in my knowledge of Him, and I became better at sharing my faith.

Let us be like Apollos. Let us share our faith passionately. We can start by sharing our experience with our Lord Jesus and trusting God that He would use our story to lead others to the Lord. People are lost in their sins, and they need a Savior to be forgiven. The Lord wants to use our lives as the channel through which they will believe in Him.

Ask yourself these questions for application: (Think through carefully and meditate on the questions while answering them, and let the Spirit of God speak to you) Describe how you believed in Jesus. Are you willing to tell others about your story of believing in Jesus? Am I going to church and reading the Bible to continue to grow in knowing the Lord more?

Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for saving me from my sins. Would you please give me the passion and willingness to tell others about my story in believing in you? You are the only Savior in this world and no one else. Please continue to give me hunger and thirst in going to church and reading my Bible, so I can continue to grow in my relationship with you. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
