I CAN DO ALL THINGS

One of the incredible truths that I know about the Bible is that Jesus lives in us. Galatians 2:20 says, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Although our Lord Jesus ascended to Heaven 40 days after His resurrection, He never left us alone. His Spirit is in us, so we can do all things through Him who strengthens us. When we go through impossible situations, and it seems like we do not have the strength and wisdom to go through them, remember that we have our Lord Jesus in us. Jesus said that apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but if we rely on His wisdom and strength, as a branch attaches to its vine, we can do all things through His power.

Regardless of how heavy our hearts are or how weak we face our difficult problems, we can go through them because when our strength is not enough, His strength will carry us through. When Jesus was on the boat with His disciples, He fell asleep because He was exhausted. While He was sleeping, a sudden storm came, and the wind created massive waves that the boat was in danger of capsizing. The disciples woke up Jesus because all of them were terrified. Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the waves, and in an instant, the weather went back to normal as if nothing had happened. But before Jesus rebuked the winds and the waves, He told His disciples this, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Jesus told His disciples that they should not have been afraid because He was with them (Matthew 8:23-27).

So let us fix our eyes on Jesus today and not on the impossibilities of our problems. God will work it out, and if we do not have the wisdom and strength, let us remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is living in us; therefore, we can do all things through His power and strength. Let us always be confident in Him.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that Jesus lives in me? If Jesus lives in me, do I rely on His strength and power? How should I live my life knowing that Jesus lives in me?

Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, you know everything that I am going through. You know all my struggles and worries, and I confess to you that I don't have the strength and wisdom to go through them, so I am asking you to please give me the strength and wisdom to go through them and help me to rely on you, instead of being fearful. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
