God gave us His Word, our Bible, to help us learn, understand, and apply His teaching in our life because His teaching is the truth that can set us free from sin and the lies of Satan. Knowing the truth of God or the teaching of our Lord Jesus through His Word is vital in our spiritual being. Without knowing the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will not know the way to God. His Word gives us information on how to be saved, be forgiven, and accepted by our Heavenly Father. And this is the reason we need to read His Word every day. The laziness of not reading the Word of God or our Bible keeps us from growing in our relationship with the Lord.
The teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ changes our lives and sets us free from lies and wrong understanding of God and who we are as a person. The Bible says that we have been set free from all the past sins that we have committed. All our sins have been forgiven; as a result, we do not need to carry those guilt and shame. The Bible says that we are loved and accepted by our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are secure in Him until the end, so we do not need to worry about tomorrow because God has set us free. The Bible says that we are wonderfully made; as a result, we have been set free from having low self-esteem. No matter what the world says about us, we are beautiful in God's eyes, and we matter to Him.
We have been set free by the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We need to think and behave according to the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is according to the Bible. Let us reject the influence of this world and the lies of Satan. We need to remind ourselves that God has set us free, and we do not belong to this world anymore.
Ask yourself these questions: Do I believe that God has set me free from all of my past sins? Am I spending time with the Word of God daily? (Reading this daily devotion is one of the ways to read the Word of God through the Bible verse). Do I believe what the Bible says about me?
Write down all the worries you face today and lift them up to God.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for setting me free from my past sins and the lies of Satan. Please help me to see myself in the way your Word says about me and not compare myself with the things of this world. Thank you that I am free from the bondage of sin, and I am free to say no to sin. I am free to walk away from the daily temptations that I face. I am free to do the right thing. Thank you, Father, for setting me free through my Lord Jesus Christ. In your name Jesus, I pray. Amen.
