GOD IS OMNIPRESENT

God's omnipresence means that God is present everywhere. He is present in all His creation. There is nothing in the universe that He is not there. To a person to imagine being everywhere at the same time is impossible. However, with God, it is possible. King David declared the omnipresence of God in Psalm 139:7-12, "I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to Heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—but even in darkness, I cannot hide from you. To you, the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you."

When we describe God's omnipresence, it does not mean that He is in the trees, the moon, the stars, the seas, the mountains, or in the animals. Satan has deceived many people into praying to the trees, the moon, the mountains, the animals, or any object on the earth. God rejected this in Exodus 20:4-5, "You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods..." God does not replicate Himself to everything that He created. His presence stays with Him. It is incredible to think that our God is with all of us while His presence is everywhere. Our minds cannot completely fathom the omnipresence of God because our minds are limited.

The omnipresence of God is comforting to us because God is with us wherever we go. We are never alone. When we go through a difficult time and confusion, He is always with us. We are not always aware of it because we are too busy minding our own business and not think of God. But if we always put God first in our minds, we will be able to notice His ever-presence in our lives. Every time we pray, we become aware of His presence. He is always watching over us whether we are asleep, awake, or committing sin in secret. His presence is always with us.

Ask yourself these questions: What is omnipresence? How does it affect my current situation, knowing that God is always with me? Why is it important to remember that God is always with me wherever I go?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you that you are an omnipresent God. You are always with me wherever I go. Thank you that you are always watching over me. Thank you that I am never alone. Please help me to trust you and follow your ways. Please help me now with (mention your prayer requests). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
