GOD IS FAITHFUL

God's faithfulness is one of the characters of God that secures our eternal salvation in Him. Since God is eternal (infinite), immutable (never change), and omnipotent (all-powerful), there is nothing in this world that can stop Him from fulfilling all His promises to us. In 1 Thessalonians 5:24, it says, "The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it." One of the common questions that Christians ask is, "can I lose my salvation?" The answer to this question is "no." If a person genuinely has faith in the Lord Jesus, the person is saved forever. Jesus said in John 10:28, "I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand."

What happens if I sin? Can God be angry at me and leave me? God is always faithful to forgive our sins when we confess them to Him. The Bible says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." The effect of our Lord Jesus' death on the cross is eternal. The blood that He shed on the cross can wash away our past, present, and future sins. What happens if I doubt, and I feel like I am losing my faith in Him? Would God leave me then? God will remain faithful to us even when we are in doubt. In 2 Timothy 2:13, it says, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful--for He cannot deny Himself."

No matter what is going on in our lives today, we need to be encouraged that God is faithful to us. He will never abandon nor leave us. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, "It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be discouraged!" And if we do not have the strength to walk with Him any longer, He will carry us with His loving arms. There is nothing like our God. He is powerful, yet He loves us dearly.

Ask yourself these questions: Do I truly believe in my heart that God is faithful to me? How should I respond to my current situations, knowing that God is faithful to help me?

Write down all the worries that you are facing today and lift them up to God.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you for being so faithful to me. I am thankful that I am eternally secure in you and that nothing can happen in this world that can separate me from you. Please help me to continue to trust in you. Please help me now with (mention your prayer requests). In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
